I’m currently a Sophomore in college, working part-time as blog editor and contributor for the DDM garage doors blog. I started work at DDM in the fall of 2022, but I met Dan Musick, the company’s founder, at a wedding in 2017. At a later wedding in 2022, he remembered the earlier conversations and he offered me a position at DDM Garage Doors.
Prior to working for DDM, I had contributed to the WorldVenture blog as a freelancer, writing articles about Jonah and – aptly, for someone named Philip Kendall – Philip the apostle. I also wrote devotionals for WorldVenture: for Christmas 2020 (titled, Cultivating a Joyful Heart), for Christmas 2021 (titled, A Gift of Hope), and for the Thirty Days of Prayer devotional (titled, Not Yet…).
While I was in High School, I participated in the school literary magazine, eventually becoming the editor-in-chief my Senior year. I also spent a summer working with the high school maintenance crew: cleaning and lubricating the old lockers, helping build new ones, and setting up the classrooms with desks, chairs, and supplies for the coming school year. Both these roles were good practice for working at DDM.
I’m currently double-majoring in International Relations and Communication, with a minor in French. My dream job is to be a professional fiction writer, but I think any kind of writing is fun.
I’m currently writing and editing DDM’s garage door blog, as well as moderating the comments section.
