Business relationships are based on trust.
Trust is based on integrity.
But trust is not blind.
“Trust, but verify.” You may remember Ronald Reagan quoting these words in the context of the United States trusting the Soviet Union.
“Listen to what they say; watch what they do.” This is another way of testing or establishing trust.
One lie can destroy the trust that was established over many years, and it can take many more years to re-establish the trust. Trust is a delicate treasure.
Here are some of the verses from Scripture that have helped mold my character and which have helped shape the people here at DDM Garage Doors.
“The integrity of the upright guides them.” (Proverbs 11:3 ESV)
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” (Proverbs 10:9 ESV)
“Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” (Proverbs 28:6 ESV)
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke 16:10 ESV)
“The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.” (Proverbs 11:5 ESV)
“A just balance and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights in the bag are his work.” (Proverbs 16:11 ESV)
Integrity is one of the most important virtues because lying taints all other virtues.

Thank you, Kim!
I’ve said several times here that our integrity is more valuable than the company.
Merry Christmas.
