Determining garage door spring center bracket side and what wind.
Which Side is Which?

With standard garage door torsion springs, a left-winding spring is usually to the right of the center bracket. In addition, a right-winding spring is usually to the left of the center bracket.

However, with Clopay EZ-SET Springs, the opposite holds true. Right wind springs install on the right side and left on the left.

See our video on how to determine torsion spring wind to determine whether your spring is a left-winding or right-winding spring.
