What is a Raynor Tag? Springs manufactured by Raynor come with tags with two numbers. One is the serial number, and the other is an identification tag. These numbers are embossed either on two separate tags or one tag.
What does the identification number look like? The tag consists of 3 numbers followed by a dash ( - ), two more numbers, and then two letters. Your tag should look something like 250-24BL.
What if my tag says R/L at the end? If your tag ends with R/L, your spring was sold to the installer with another spring - one right wind and one left wind spring. If your spring tag has R/L on the end, your spring may be either right or left wind.
Why are there two springs listed? We list two springs for each identification tag. The first spring listed is left wind, and the second spring is right wind. The wind of your spring is given by the last letter in the spring tag - either "L" for left or "R" for right wind. If you have two spring tags that are identical except for the last letter (L and R), the two springs listed are the springs on your door.
What kind of springs will you sell me? Raynor's torsion springs are the same as the torsion springs on most other doors. We will help you find a suitable replacement spring. Most springs can be purchased with or without cones, but be sure to read your spring information to see your options.
