In this video, we demonstrate how to adjust a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liftmaster.com\/\">LiftMaster<\/a> motor so that the belt fits properly, even if it is a different length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to Adjust a LiftMaster Motor so the Belt Fits\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/85aQ7zdJs-g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>If a v-belt is too tight or too loose, you can adjust the motor to get the proper fit.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the steps for adjusting a LiftMaster motor so the <a href=\"https:\/\/ddmgaragedoors.com\/parts\/garage-door-opener-v-belts.html\">v-belt<\/a> fits properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unplug the power or flip the circuit breaker. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loosen the four carriage bolts that secure the motor frame to the operator frame. Loosen the bolts just enough to allow the motor to slide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install the new belt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raise and lower the motor as needed for the belt to fit snugly, but not too tightly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Align the motor pulley, v-belt, and the larger clutch pulley.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure the motor is level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tighten the four nuts and bolts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restore the power and test the operator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ddmgaragedoors.com\/blog\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddmgaragedoors.com\/blog\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5099\" width=\"442\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ddmgaragedoors.com\/blog\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image.png 747w, https:\/\/ddmgaragedoors.com\/blog\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-300x189.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 442px) 100vw, 442px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Adjusting the carriage bolts that hold the LiftMaster motor in place<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As long as the belt size is not too different, it should be relatively easy to adjust the motor so that the belt fits the motor.
