Garage Door Bottom Fixtures

Garage door bottom fixtures

Garage door bottom fixtures are determined primarily by the track and roller size and the type of lift. The bottom fixture on the left (BF-65-2OS) as well as the one in the center (BF-71-2R) are both for 2" track. The bottom fixture on the right (BF-11-32R), however, can be used with either 2" or 3" track.

The type of lift is an important aspect of bottom fixtures. Outside lift garage doors have the cable drums mounted to the outside of the end bearing plates. The cable stays to the outside of the track to attach to the bottom fixture at the bottom of the garage door. In order to connect to the cable, the bottom fixture needs to wrap around to the outside of the track. Special bottom fixtures, such as the one pictured above on the left, are compatable with this hardware.

We also offer some bottom fixtures with a special cable safety stop. If the cable fails on the garage door, the safety stop reduces the risk that the door will fall and cause damage to property or life.
