Service Area:
DDM Garage Doors installs and repairs doors primarily in DuPage and Kane Counties, but we also service the larger Chicago market as time allows.

Note: Whether you live in our service area or not, you can learn to fix your own garage door by studying our tutorials. We have shipped parts to all 50 states, and we have helped customers in Canada, the UK, Israel, Ukraine, Japan, and other countries fix their garage doors.

Installation:
DDM Garage Doors installs industrial, commercial and residential garage doors from all of the major door manufacturers, including Raynor, Wayne Dalton, Clopay, Eckert, and C.H.I. See our list of residential garage door prices for the most common garage doors and their manufacturers. We also install industrial and residential garage door openers from all manufacturers, including Allstar, Chamberlain, and Wayne-Dalton. See our list of residential garage door openers or commercial garage door openers for the most common openers and their manufacturers. We give free on-site quotes for installation of new garage doors and openers.

Repairs:
DDM Garage Doors repairs industrial and commercial sectional overhead doors as well as residential garage doors. We replace all types of garage door springs, including torsion springs, extension springs, and springs for one-piece garage doors. We repair garage doors using additional parts as listed in our parts catalog. Parts in the catalog at DDM are priced for national distribution and are, thus, lower than we normally charge in our service work. In addition to the above products, we carry different electronic parts, such as radio controls, keypads, transmitters, receivers, photo eyes, circuit boards, logic boards, opener parts, and various other obscure items that are not listed in our catalog. We give free telephone quotes for most repairs.

Training in Repairs:
We also offer in-house training seminars to train your company's maintenance workers in garage door repair.

Service Hours:
Service hours for local repairs are 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday. We also take emergency calls during the night, but calls after 9:00 PM are billed at $132.00 per hour for residential work and $144.00 per hour for industrial and commercial work.

Service Rates:
Service calls are billed at $88 per hour for residential repairs and $96 per hour for industrial and commercial repairs. The minimum service call is for one hour.

Note: Standard company procedure for broken industrial and commercial torsion springs is to clamp, measure, and rewind your broken spring as a temporary repair until the new springs can be ordered. This allows the customer to continue using the door until the new spring or springs arrive. Hourly rates apply to clamping the spring. If we have the spring in our truck inventory, however, it will not be necessary to clamp the spring.

Residential Torsion Spring and Extension Spring Replacement Rates:
These jobs are normally billed at flat rates. Single-car spring replacements for 8 X 7 and 9 X 7 doors run $145.00. Double-car replacements for 16 X 7 doors run $195.00. If you have two torsion springs we recommend replacing both at the same time. If you prefer to replace only one of two springs the price is $145.

Add $20.00 per spring for doors that are 7'6" or 8' high, and add $20.00 per spring for doors that are 17' or 18' wide. If the door has more than two springs or heavier springs than normal, replacement will be billed at time and materials. These usually cost $250-300.

Residential Broken Cables:
New cables sell for $15.00 plus tax each for torsion and $18.00 plus tax each for extension spring door. Labor usually runs $88.00 to $132.00.

Warranty:
For service, the warranty is 90 days. Warranties on residential springs that we install covers parts and labor for two years. Warranty coverage is based on normal use and does not cover abuse or acts of God.
