How to Assemble Garage Door Strut Kits

How to Install Garage Door Struts and Strut Kits

Garage door struts reinforce door sections, preventing them from bending or breaking. They also aid in the smooth opening and closing of the door. If the sections are not rigid, the garage door will bind as it opens and closes.

Struts for eight and nine-foot wide doors can ship by FedEx or UPS. Longer struts would need to ship over the road. The crating and shipping cost for a single 16' strut can cost $200-300. For this reason we have developed several garage door strut kits that allow you to purchase the shorter 8’-9’ struts and join them with a 32” strut. FedEx or UPS can ship these parts for the lower price.
